I am absolutely thrilled to be done with the jack-n-jill bathroom and show you the shocking before and afters side by side! I’ll let the photos speak for themselves and then highlight some of my favorite features:

Just keep scrolling up and down – shocking right?! Here’s the other side:

And here’s the view from the hallway looking past both vanities into the water closet/shower area:

Ok so now some of my favorite touches that really make this bathroom special:
- Door handles- One of the ways you can tell if a house has really been updated or not is by the door handles! Our house is in desperate need of all new door handles, so with all of the doors into this bathroom, it was the perfect place to start! I partnered with Emtek for the most beautiful new door handles that I will be using throughout the rest of the house as well. I chose the Classic Brass Manning Lever with the Watford Rosette in Satin Brass. You can completely customize your door hardware as far as color, style, backplate. Emtek’s handles and knobs are classic and you can view all the latest styles here.
- Lighting- You’ll notice that there was no overhead ceiling light in the before photos but we added one during the renovation. Best decision ever. The water closet/toilet area is bright because of a skylight over the toilet (yay for natural light!) but the area with the vanities tends to be dark. I partnered with Alora Lighting to showcase the Rubio fixture. The right lighting is always a game changer and this light is no exception. It’s bright and has the perfect amount of mid-century modern/eclectic flair. Alora Lighting is a new brand to me, but I would use all of their fixtures in my house if I could! Check out their selection here.
- Artwork- I partnered with Minted for the artwork that you see in the bathroom. I chose this cute paper TRex from artist Maja Cunningham to designate Raymond’s side of the bathroom (anyone else’s kids really into Camp Cretaceous on Netflix??), a unicorn by Lori Wemple for Emma’s side of the bathroom, and this gorgeous print called “Enmeshed” by Marcia Biasiello. We regularly buy and recommend art from Minted for our client designs because the selection is outstanding and you can get prints in all sizes, plus framing! It’s so nice to buy an art print and not have to worry about how or what frame to use. Use code LAURA10 for 10% off your next Minted order! Here’s a roundup of some of my favorite Minted prints:

2//Enmeshed
3//Flower Power
4//Misty Lake
5//Green Thumb
6//Indigo Ink
I hope you love the completed bathroom as much as I do! Check out all the other participants in the One Room Challenge here.
